Adam Unsworth

Versatile Adam Unsworth expands the musical and technical boundaries of the art of horn playing in the exciting diverse repertory appearing on Snapshots. These works will surely become standards in the horn recital repertory. The smooth playing in the Fables and Ballads highlight Adam's glorious sound from his years with The Philadelphia Orchestra. The bravura works with electronics, Nisi and Kajato brilliantly showcase Adam's agility in the extreme ranges of the horn, while offering up a kaleidoscope of colors in these high energy compositions. Adams collaborators are equally impressive in their capacity to draw the listener into these elegant sound worlds, which at times, hints of Adam's equally solid footing in jazz. This must CD for horn players is a given, but the artistry on the CD will attract musicians and music aficionados of all types.

No doubt Mr. Unsworth, horn professor at the University of Michigan, will be performing these works on tour.
