THE ART OF THE FUGUE: J.S. BACH

Trio 335

Trio 335 was formed in 1999 to perform and record J. S. Bach's monumental The Art of the Fugue in a unique version as a reed trio. The score is not modified in any way; all voices appear in the registers as intended by the composer. The recipient of a grant from Arts International, Trio 335 has performed in the United States and by invitation at the 2000 Conference of the International Double Reed Society in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Future plans include premieres of Homenagem a Gonzaga by Brazilian composer Hermínio de Almeida and ELE-Variations by American composer Kyle Kindred, performances in Canada and Europe, and a CD of new works written for the group.
